Allamah Abu al-Nasr al-Khatib al-Dimashqi (above right) passed a verdict in a legal case against Ottoman Caliph Sutan Abd al-Hamid (above left). The legal was in regards to a piece of land. Sultan Abd al-Hamid said to him,
“All praise is due to Allah who created in my country someone who will guide me to the truth if I make a mistake.”
Allah Taala have mercy on both of them, amin.
